Im posting this cause it took me forever to get this information and thought it would be very helpful to the community. The reason posting is for those who want to swap out the springs and upgrade them to stiffer ones. So info listed below.
The ID of the springs are 2.5 inches.
For the free length the fronts, they are 180mm.... for the rears they are 220mm.

That should be all that you need to know. And after you swap I thought this would help too, on how to preload.

Great post sir :)

now tell me what I can do about my type 1's ...:madrun:

Thanks and from what I heard nothing if you have the 1st gen f2's. I would say try and sell them and just upgrade to atleast the type 2's whenever you can. Thats what your next upgrade should be.
I just wouldnt upgrade the springs on those coils cause I dont think they made them strong enough to withstand that stiffness

:madrun: I dont want to hear that you have plenty of time. Great builds are the ones that take the longest. And you can never be stiff enough. I read in some magz that some evo's run 28k/g wtffffffff :eusa_drool:

I beg to differ lol. Dude was running CRX coils on his civic so he could be lower but it rode like a rock. Anyways he went through construction area, hit a pothole, and airbags went off and busted his windshield and his gf's face haha. Now That's Stiff!
