You can also use a Greddy E-Manage or AEM FIC as a piggyback system with your stock ECU, but it's no where NEAR as versatile as the AEM EMS, and I wouldn't recommend it. Go big or go home. Save up for it and get the best you can get instead of dealing with bullshit ceilings.

So the aem ems only works with the automatic engine harness and manual tranny??

What the EMS does NOT work with is the automatic transmission. The rest of the combinations and factory it works with. Not sure about auto harness and manual tranny.. I would just do it right and not f*ck with an auto harness.

In the description it says it only works with the auto harness which seems stupid to me
