Dynamat (UPDATE 4/28/12)

Just want to show you guys my progress with Dynamating. This is actually more time consuming than you think... only if you want a clean look and solid stick.

This stuff is no joke. I cut vibrations in half! There will be even less vibrations througout the car when I'm finished.
Also It makes the bass sound soooo much better!

-Trunk lid (complete) Needs Dynaliner
-6x9 speaker topside (complete)
-Roof (complete) Dynaliner added to that. (Complete) Needs Dynaliner
-Trunk sides (Complete)
-6x9 speaker bottomside (Complete)
-Front doors(IN progress)
-Rear Pillars (Complete)

PRICES-
-I didn't keep track of the first. I probably used 4-5 pieces on the trunk lid and rear deck(6x9 speakers) $120
-Just bought off amazon, 9 pieces(bulk pack) for $140 3/30/12
-Also purchased DYNATAPE for $12 (cleans up bad cut edges) 3/30/12
-Dynamat Roller $15 3/30/12

I have various rattles, wonder if trying this stuff out would help. Is it very heavy? Easy to work with?

And its heavy duty, can stand heat 150 degrees plus and -20 degrees. Water resistant. its kinda easy to work with, its like a rubber tar type adhessive. but molds and sticks like a champ. Just clean what you want dynamated and cut. Be careful tho, its as sharp as a razor blade on the sides(aluminum stuff on top?)

yeah if youre dynamating your whole car interior you will add at least 20lbs, its alluminum backed malleable rubber/tar substance, when cutting it, it will resemble melted stringy cheese when you pull it apart lol, where did you purchase it and how much?

circuit city used to sell it, im sure you could find it local somewhere. its been a while since i used it, but its not incredibly cheap. worth it though if you are rattling your trunk. best buy maybe? most likely cheaper online.

Chris, a cheaper alternative is Brown Bread, which is applied the same way and just as good as Dynamat.

Not sure if you have somewhere local that would sell that.
