I've searched to no avail, so I'm asking the question. I know ECU's are designed with specific engines in mind, but the K series ECU's have reprogrammable maps, so lets say for instance i wanted to use a K ECU in my F accord. Could I in theory, use KPro to upload a F23 basemap onto the ecu and still be able to pass emissions with it? It probably wouldnt be a plug and play scenario and have to adjust pinouts etc, but looking into alternatives other than the $1000 standalones, and still have to swap the stock ecu for emissions and worry about the thing throwing codes. Its a crazy idea, but seems it could possibly work.
My reason for asking is I'm looking into an e85 build, as it's about $0.85 cheaper than 87, and i'd like to possibly keep the ECU for my next car/project...
