I need your guys help here!!!
So usually when my engine light turns on I get the p1259 code and just add some oil and light turns off.
So light came on and decided to buy some stp oil treatment that someone recommended for oil consumption ..
So I added some oil and . Stp treatment ....about 3 mins literally after driving off my car starts smoking white smoke like crazy and fealing weak as it was to turn off?
Did I blow a gasket or something along those lines? Mycar has about 217000kms

White smoke from the exhaust generally indicates burning coolant. First guess would be a head gasket...

When I fixed a blown headgasket on my moms 05 civic ex, Honda wanted to charge $3,000 for parts and labor.

I had a buddy who works at a local autoparts store and got the head gasket kit, timing belt, and water for under $350 with his discount.

Took me about 8 hours total to replace all the seals, gaskets, water pump, and belts. It was my first time though, with some help.

White smoke does mean coolant/water being burnt unless on a cold day and warm up.

Edit: when my moms car had a blown headgasket, the car went on limp mode aswell.

You can drain your coolant to see if there is any oil in it also.

1. was your oil low in the first place?
2. if it is white smoke does it smell like maple syrup?
2a. if smells like maple syrup then it is possible you did blow the head gasket.

Everything is DIY on our cars.. just depends on if you can do it or not. For some people changing their tire is NOT a DIY cuz they are retarded, so it all depends.
