Swapping to a manual

So if any of you out there drive a 01 accord, you know that they didn't make them in manual that year...

I've got a V6 accord coupe and I want to change it over to manual.

A couple questions, what exactly do I have to change? I'm not to good with the "under the hood" part of the car. I know i have to change the center console to fit the shifter, and I have to fit the clutch in there, but what else? Will I have to change any ecu stuff?

Sorry for the newb questions, just hoping for some help here.

There are numerous threads on this subject on this site and on v6p.net. Try searching and reading as much as you can about the swap and then come back with more specific questions if you need help.

You have a lot of reading to do.

You will need quite deep pockets and you will need to read quite a bit. Take your time soaking up all the information, details and requirements for the swap.

OP, it depends on how extensive you want to get with your build, but it always helps to budget over what you think you will spend.

I know mostly everyone already knows this but I want to make a correction so any new members don't get misinformed. No 98-02 Accord V6 ever came in manual out of the factory. However some 98-02 Accord's with the i4 f23 engine did come with a manual transmission.
