Best useable light is found from 5000k to 6000k. There is no 'reversed polarity' issues. You do not have to mess with any wiring harnesses etc..

:coffee:

umm the higher the Kelvin or K rating on a bulb, the lower the light output in lumens

So 4300k (factory) - 5000k should be max. 6k are for ppl who want that bluish tints.

oh and HID are illegal if they are used in headlights that are not design for them.

And yet you still see a whole bunch of civics and integras running 6k-9k.

What about retrofits? Not designed from factory to run oem, but requires D2S/D2S bulbs. Must be a ***** to cops if they pull you over.

I would go with 4300k D2S Phillips over 6000k d2s bulb anyday.

Retrofits are illegal too...headlights are supposed to be DOT approved. Any alteration renders them illegal. But, cops typically aren't going to bother anyone over headlights. Unless they get a **** ton of complaints about your car, or you blind the hell out of them with piss poor aim.

Oh ok, yeah I wasn't too sure about the range, but thanks for clarifying.

My friend just got HID's for his E90, and his HID's wont work without a flicker or error code eliminator. I'll take it that I dont need these things.

plug and play my friend, like everyone else says. It'll be a ten minute project if you read the istructions, but if they dont work, try reversing the polarity (by flipping the plug) i had to do that a couple times :eusa_wall:

but be careful with the bulb... DO NOT touch the bulb with your fingers/anything. That will cause a blotting and could damage/pop your bulb, so just be cautious. Wear gloves if you want to. I have the 6ks because i got them cheap, but when i come across cheap 5ks, im going to switch.

just my $.02
