Re: CG Squad Lanyard & decal and LEDs

ok thanks

You are correct. Regular 1157 led bulb does not turn on with the parking lights. But, I'm thinking they would work if you add resistor to each turn signal wire.

Hey Jeff,

Do you have bulbs for the footwell lights?

BTW, I got the package when I was down in Boston, thanks again for hooking that up!

Great, good to know you got the package on time. Let me know if you run into any problems installing the leds.

I do have the leds that I used for the Footwell lights. They are 12" White 5050 SMD led strip. They are not the tiny led ones. They are like this kind they sell at Vleds

The images from that link are not loading for me, will have to try from my phone or at home. Are they PnP or they have to be hardwired in?

Re: CG Squad Lanyard & decal and LEDs

Since our Accords doesn't come with factory footwell lights.. it's not PnP. I wanted the lights to go on and off with the dome lights so I tapped the dome + and - wires on the passenger side fuse panel.

What I've used are two 12" led strip. I wanted something bright so I used the biggest led chip ( 5050 ) led strips.

I installed them underneath each panel and used quick connects on each leads of the led strip and added about 3ft of additional wires on the driver side and about 1ft on the passenger side: ( At first, I had soldered the additional wires but because I installed the led to the panels.. the wires got in the way when removing the panels.)

I soldered these wires to the Dome power source: blue and white wire (+) and black and white wire (-) located in the passenger fuse box.

To finish it off.. I wrapped the wires with wire loom to keep the OEM look.

I'll post the DIY video tonight.
