no crank and no start, solved....

Well for anyone still around having a 6th gen accord v6 and still read this forum here is a story for you young kids and young at heart. It was Tuesday night (2/19/2025) and someone had parked our 2000 3 liter LX coupe (220k miles about) with the rear way too close to the garage door so I went...

Not clear on the SRS light

Hey my SRS light was on recently and in the past that trick always worked. But this time it kept coming back on. Turns out the driver seatbelt buckle was dirty. You can open it up and clean the contacts and boom, all fixed! Search on youtube for how to open and clean the seatbelt buckle.

    another fix: ac condenser fan

So earlier in the month of July, I was driving on the FDR in NYC out of manhattan (hot day in slow and go traffic) and had the ac on and noticed it started blowing warm and then the temp gauge started creeping up past halfway which never happened before. turned off ac and luckily the temp gauge...

    Cat stolen!

Oh chit! Sorry my dude! The cheapest fix (if out of pocket) is to get your own aftermarket cat (perhaps from Rockauto) and have someone weld it on. I should take a class in mig welding haha! Remember in CA and NY and a few other states, the legal cat needs to be CARB compliant. (But I do know...

    Cat stolen!

Update: Got it done on May 19th. CEL didnt go away for 15 miles so I cleared it myself but took about 50 miles for the ALL CLEAR. This car has taken a lot and won't back down! The front O2 sensor wasn't too bad to get out but I decided to change that too so new walker (carb compliant) cat and 2...

    Cat stolen!

RR, Thanks!! We do have a garage to park and will start doing so. This car has been thru a lot the past year or so with so many things breaking and now this. There was a leak at the flanges (leading to a moderately loud rumble when driving around 40-70mph) so hopefully when this gets patched up...

    Cat stolen!

Hey Thanks! Turns out NY is a carb state so I do need to get a carb compliant converter and I went with a walker from Rock Auto b/c the magnaflow would have cost a few hundreds more. I did find a guy who will weld the part in but any registered mech/shop in NY will not install/weld a non carb...

Not really urgent sorry but what do you guys recommend I do IF i want to save the car? open to all opinions. Ill try the DIY route first before considering a shop. Not even sure if it is worth...

    Rusted brake lines!

Update: so yeah turns out the P1456 for me IS the gas cap. I cleared the code with my own scanner and then for about 20 miles the code never returned Sat night but the scanner showed a yellow light, indicating a pending cycle (system not completely done running all its checks). This sunday...

    Rusted brake lines!

All done! Took most of Thanksgiving day, a little Friday and some Saturday but here is the result: https://imgur.com/a/QPeVUZB -I wasn't 100% done in the video. I need to put back the metal bracket in the rear. It didn't fit so I had to flatten out the metal harness and then zip tie the plastic...

    Rusted brake lines!

So recently I just replaced the high pressure steering hose bc that was leaking and now I noticed my brake fluid is leaking and it turns out the hard main lines from the front proportion valve to the rear brakes (not sure left or right) are rusted and leaking. Those 2 little lines share a runway...

    power steering high pressure hose

Job completed! Started Friday at 6 pm and took about 3 hrs but did not finish the job at the time. 1 hr to remove, wasn't too bad. Majority of time (about 2 hrs) was trying to get the flared end back on. It was next to impossible; I almost felt defeated! I don't know if it is b/c I bought an...
