    just have the nobs. The ac is turning completely off and un able to come back on as if the car was to hot and it is some kkind of safety thing.... but the car is at normal temp?

    So just moved to so cal.... So actually have a need for my ac now just one problem? It blows nice and cold for anywhere from 10-20 min then the light shuts off and the air turns warm, and i cant turn it back on untill either the car cools down or next day. This happen to any1 else?

    Agreed! I also assumed it was plastic cuz from the pic I also think it looks like both terminals are touching it... Which we all know would cause major sparks and prob fire! :D

    I'm guessing the top plate is plastic at least that's how it looks to me! Nice diagram though very helpful! I would also use 0 & 4 gauge as well..

    If you want to rebuild just by a cheap motor to get you through the rebuild and do it right you never know if your going to be with in tolerance once you get it apart. could end up costing you more money for replacement parts and even time to order new ones. If needed? I'm just saying you never...

    very junk yard around me gives you compression across the board and a 30 or 60 day warranty... So i don't see why not? Engine swap is pretty easy some sockets and a breaker bar, maybe an extra set of hands.. i say check timing and do a valve adjustment and if it ends up blowing spend a day doing...

    There would be no point to do a top end rebuild... rods are on the bottom the junk yards around my town sell motors for like $300.. I would find a friend with a engine hoist and do the swap after it blows 6 hrs max..
