    Philly mechanics are CROOKS!!!

Nice signature pic! All we have to do now is change that background with some canyons. Sry for momentary thread jack :o

    s2000 mufflers, do want?

The only single resonator that toned the exhaust down low enough for me was a 3 foot by 6 inch round piece. It was basically a truck derived one. Now if you have a V6 it's a different story, those sound nicer with a lot less resonator gear. I think in general there is no way to tell how it will...

Car tuning: is it worth it?

Yep, my current shop works on NSX only for the most part. They've done good work so far but they ask me questions like "is this your daily driver" with a twisted look on the face as if I'm asking for it. I tell them I am willing to pay for them to redo the entire wiring, I ask them for it...

Car tuning: is it worth it?

I can give a short summary I suppose: *The swap itself started at $2500 with the Innovative race mounts included *$400 extra for new wires, plugs, custom PS line, temp gauge ('00 and above 6th gens require it) *$1050 Hondata S300 and tunning *$2000 Aem V2, Hytech replica header,metal...

Car tuning: is it worth it?

Guys cost or research is not the culprit. I did everything myself that I could, basically all but take the engine out kinda deal, I don't have a hoist nor a dyno to tune it etc. The only real correlation here is aftermarket has a higher rate of failure by far. I found this out the hard way...

Car tuning: is it worth it?

I think I've reached the pinnacle of jadedness with this hobby. Ever since I got a swap in January I've been observing parts failing and inferior labor besides pouring more and more money in the car. Let's see some of the aspects of car tuning: *Mechanic makes no use of a torque wrench...

it looks like I can either do $18 with the original box or $15 if I use the new USPS small priority mail box. Your pick. That's total, so shipping options are either 8 or 5 bucks.

V6 Brakes swap: Caster out of spec. Isolated case?

Update to keep this thread somewhat informative. I had the chassis slotted to fix the caster problem. Well whatever it was the frame wasn't straight. I took it to Bear Frame in Glendora today. The guys brought up the caster to 2 degrees positive on both sides. I didn't get a printout like most...

    Interesting S2000 Swap

not diggin' it. S2k is a time attack car defined by balance and high power to weight ratio. It's generally hard to get all of these in one car, the Honda SOHC powerplants are a major downer in all aspects but brute power. You can maximize that chassis' performance with the stock motor and FI, no...

Cha For Tea Meet/Photoshoot 56k killa

Nice to meet all of you, and again Matt ha ha Let me know if any of you plan to take on the canyons or have any plans for a cheaper track day. BTW, GMR was oozing with coppers today, I saw three of them the 2 hours I was there.

    LA Auto Show (No 56k)

I was impressed at the current GM V6 motor. I noticed it in the Camaro, 304hp and 273 lb/ft torque from a 3.6! DOHC, VVT, Direct injection and all of this on 87 octane. That is right up there with the best Honda/Acura V6, the Infinity 3.5, 3.7motors you name it. The Camaro did however impress...

OFFICIAL JDM H22A1 group buy socal

You know you liked my Yellow spooner style cover ha ha. What happened, are you swapped? I can answer some of the questions here since I'm using an H22A in my '00 coupe with F23 tranny. The gas millage is great, something like 32hwy 25city but it's on 91 octane. That's slightly better than my...

Which front camber kit to get?

Depends on your purpose for the car: Time Attack: Type 2, a bit of negative camber is a good thing. Slammed: Type 2 sometimes you need to fit the tire in the wheel well and here too you may want a bit of camber Saving tire: Type 1 Drag: Type 1 Type 1 being the one that gives you the most...

Yep Quarter million miles and it kicked it.

Yep, every time the Accord breaks I get pissed and think about a different car but the inevitable conclusion is reached, it's still one of the best deals out there fun/dollar. Salvage some gear from a yard.

    Innovative Mounts

that's correct, the front one is just a stopper. Most of the weight is on the other three.

    Innovative Mounts

There are 3 mounts that I know of: driver's, passenger's and the back mount. The back one is the mounts you can not see from the engine bay, you have to go under the car. I was only able to mount 3 of the bolts on that one with some serious effort. Then again it could be because my driver's side...

    Innovative Mounts

I was under the impression that my kit was for an H22 Accord when I bought it from Innovative. Apparently they sell no such thing, the only kit they have for the Accord is for the F23. My driver's side is obviously a no go for fitment, passenger side is good, back mount was a pain and one of the...

Widest tire w/ spacers and rolled fenders ?

So nobody with rolled fenders and a change of offset pulled off anything wider? That sucks. Even with fender flares I don't think something like a 275 can actually turn in the wheel well all that well. You must subjected it to some real road tests where the suspension has to travel up and down too.

Widest tire w/ spacers and rolled fenders ?

I don't really know what's worse, the fact that you judge people on their post count or that you believe in your own delusions. Either way I'm just voicing my opinion in regards to being off topic. I really do want to know if anybody is serious about getting a larger contact patch to the ground...

    Sound Deadener?

I said you risk, I didn't say you are guaranteed. You have 3rd party tests from a reputable source showing scientifically sound comparisons covering a wide range of conditions? Because I won't take anything less than that.
