Okay so like the title says my Honda kicked it earlier today. I stopped the engine when I walked up to the ATM, and now it wont start anymore. I have a code reader and it is pulling a cylinder misfire on #3. I am going to try and replace the spark plugs tomorrow and if that doesn't work I bought a replacement rotor. Does anybody have any other ideas as to what might fix my car?

It will turn over
I am 95% sure it is getting fuel
It tries to start but then dies instantly

Any help is appreciated! :)

Dont forget to change your plug wires if you have not already. with that many miles, if you properly took care of your vehicle. You should still see 300+ out of her

Yeah not exactly the response I was looking for. I did a full tune-up no more than <20,000 miles ago, with full NGK components. NGK iridium plugs, and NGK ignition wires. Also, a brand new cap and rotor. The only thing I had left to do was the timing system. Doesn't matter now though, I got it running and blew white smoke all the way home, and found my engine oil looking like Yoo-Hoo, everybody knows what that means. Dead transmission and now a blown head gasket...... Happy Thanksgiving!!! :peace:

Thats a **** load of miles though, she doesnt own you any favors. Good thing a new motor is like $500 with a tranny. That translates to about one or tow car payments if they were a new car.

Yep, every time the Accord breaks I get pissed and think about a different car but the inevitable conclusion is reached, it's still one of the best deals out there fun/dollar. Salvage some gear from a yard.

Its time to get a new car, 250000 is enough for me. It's not worth keeping it, get something better. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Well if your car did not overheat, it does not mean your engine is dead. But with all the labor involved with doing a headgaskit and a bad tranny.

You shud just get a low miles engine and tranny at the junk yard. Dont forget, while the engine is out, u shud change all seals and gaskits. Also do a timing belt while u are there.

Take your wires, plugs, cap and rotor off the old motor, put them on the new motor.

If the motor was still good, and I knew how to rebuild a motor, then I think that would be the best option. Once your done, it will run like a new car. Not to mention, the motor will be virtually new.
