    TSX Bumper Conversion (Update 8/15/13)

Re: TSX Bumper Conversion (Update 8/2/12) It's a cool idea, but I think I'd just fork out the cash for a buddy club 2 bumper and say "good enough" lol.

Seems like a lot more PP than your old shoots. Is that a style evolution or satisfying the client, or both?

Great photo! I'd enjoy seeing a higher-res one. I'd suggest cropping some of the bottom out though

    Tribute to the 6GA OG's

It was still 6GA, it just ran on phpbb instead of vbulletin. Phpbb was free, but sucked in comparison to vB. 6GA was started at the tail end of 2003 in between Counter-Strike matches haha. It's been more or less in its current form (on vbulletin) since 2005.

Yeah, that was taken at 10mm (lens) which is pretty wide, although as mentioned different ultrawides will have slightly different distortion

mid-atlantic 2012 summatime bbq planning thread

I could be down for this, hard to say until a week or two out though (weddings, work weekends, etc). Suggestion - keep the 1st post updated as it gets narrowed down so it's easier to check back.

Nope, recent addition. Thanks though Eric  The effect isn't for everyone I guess. Good point on the lightpole lol

Thanks - yeah I ended up buying it the day after the Sigma lol. Yesterday was mainly a day to get used to the new setup. After getting home and reviewing pictures on my computer, it became obvious that the neato effect of the ultrawide isn't a substitute for composition and having a subject lol...

Had the D3000 for a few years now, noise really limits your ISO. Like to the point I'd try and keep it at or under 400. I've kicked around the thought of upgrading my body for a while, just wasn't ready to before. Also while it's not a priority, the video mode on the d5100 will be fun to mess...

I still love that lens too. It's got to be one of the best options for your money out there. I think I've decided on eventually running with the Sigma 10-20mm (or other wide angle), Nikon's 35mm 1.8, and the 55-300mm as lenses. I decided to upgrade my body (D3000 -> D5100) so I'm not sure...

I keep my gear in a sling backpack, so it'd be pretty unusual that I wouldn't have my other lenses with me although if I had something like the 18-105mm on then I wouldn't need to worry about changing lenses unless I wanted to for a certain shot, as opposed to swapping lenses out of necessity...

Yeah if I got the 18-105 I would sell my kit lens. The only thing I ever use my kit lens for is if I need to be able to go wider than 35mm really. I plan on getting rid of it eventually. Are you using a 70-210mm? The 55-300mm seems to be a good lens, and is definitely tempting but I worry that...

I can't decide which I'd use & enjoy more: a wide angle (Sigma 10-20mm), or a better walk-around telephoto lens (18-105mm, 55-300mm, etc). Right now I have a 35mm 1.8 & the 18-55mm kit lens. The kit lens is well-reviewed but personally I don't like mine and try and avoid using it. The...
