Mine has been sitting for basically years with the timing undone, today I put it back together. I'm hoping I can start it in the next couple of days, not to drive on the road yet, but at least to move around under her own power.

Well I got her what I thought was the rest of the way done, got some new gas, went to look at draining the old gas, and realised it seems to have drained itself, by way of my no longer existing fuel lines. So I put that on hold, power has been cutting in an out all day due to high winds.

Maybe I need to look at my fuel lines, or something else. I filled up the other day and could smell gas around the car when I got home.

Wonder if not filling the tank all the way will eliminate the issue. :lawl:

Could not, for the life of me, find an OEM 01-02 Sedan Foglight... Bit the bullet and bought & installed aftermarket fogs. Works pretty well!
Pic of how the car currently sits.

Anyone selling their old exhaust? Was looking for something on the quiet side, like
Apexi WS2 or Tanabe

Seems to me, the only ones I could still get new are,
Invidia
Yonaka
Megan

All which are super loud. Anyone have any experience with SOLO Performance? (https://shop-solo-performance.com/48-honda-quiet-kit)

Hope everyone is doing great! Decided to do another timing belt job on my 2000 3L Lx coupe! First time was by the dealership and I diyed 2nd time March 2016. Been about 10+ years and the car runs great so I ordered the aisin kit TKH011 (and belts and coolant (ABC003) from rockauto and went at it July 1st. Took a bunch of hours, who cares, but everything worked again! My 3rd personal TB diy (last July did a 2014 odyssey).

Fingers crossed but I might have also fixed the small oil leak that was seeping from the oil pan gasket by tightening some of the 10 mm bolts. Yeah this car at 228xxx miles just won't quit! If it lasts another 10 years, I might do it one more time and I think I can do it without any instructions haha. FWIW I bought this car new from White Plains NY honda for about $19k Jan 2001 and did I get my money's worth! No dash lights at all except for the occasional SRS which I clean the seat belt buckle and reset. It may be covered under the lifetime warranty but anything to NOT visit the dealership is a win.

Enjoy the pics, you can see how OCD I am about marking the belt and cams. Oh I had to buy the milwaukee hi torque impact last summer for the ody b/c my midtorque with the heavy lisle socket (and a 6amp battery) wasn't cutting it. This time the midtorque with the lisle socket was good enough so I didn't even have to bust out the big high torque so the crank bolt was easy this time. Also in 2016 I did the cam and crank seals and the thermostat but not this time. I also reused the coolant b/c I did the radiator a a few years back. One of the fan was also replaced a couple years back. Hopefully nothing major any time soon.

Happy 4th!
