'01 Sedan sixxer btw--speaking specifically on the rear suspension. Assuming I'll run into the same issue in the front

Reverting from Coilovers to Stock Suspension hangup...

Switching the Teins out for stock-spec so my brother can drive the car without tearing it apart (lol) Problem is, the new strut assembly just appears to be too long? The Teins are 3 inches shorter overall, and fit fine, but when I mount the NEW struts up top, the lower eyelet is about 3 inches...

306k and counting on my '01 V6 Sedan. Been a pretty darn reliable daily for the past 5 years. The 4spd Auto was rebuilt at around 190k I think, but the engine is still factory "fresh" lol--only major thing I've had to replace is a water pump around the 270k mark

Barely Used Tein Coilovers...Question about posting for sale...

I have a set of Tein Street Basis Z coilovers with maybe 10k on them I'm probably going to be selling. Car is going to the little brother and I'm putting OE suspension on for him so he doesn't tear it up haha. I don't have the posting authorization in the Car Parts For Sale forum though? Asking...

p0132 p1457 p1676 After a rainy day, very rough idle and barely drives

About 4 months ago, I drove through some pretty heavy rain and the car (01 V6) ended up starting to sputter on the highway and had an extremely jerky throttle. Had to have it towed back home because it barely drove, and I was 20 mins home. Threw no codes. Had it taken to a local mechanic and...

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

I actually just went with an eBay pipe that cost like 20 bucks. Stainless, and came with two gaskets and new hardware. It also had the spot welded in to put in your O2 sensor and a defouler. Mine was in a bit of a weird spot though, so I trimmed the heat shroud around the exhaust a bit. Oh, and...

It's been awhile, and quite a few things have changed haha Stripped the dip off of the wheels; way too much of a hassle to keep clean. I think the wheels look great now, change of taste I guess Had the front bumper painted by a coworker, who did a fantastic job Rear tail light vinyl tint...

    Shop won't do an alignment

OK great, thank you. Yeah I had always known I'd have a little bit of camber from lowering, but couldn't figure out why that would inhibit adjusting my toe and caster. I'll be looking for a more specialized place that can help me out.

    Shop won't do an alignment

I recently installed some Teins on my 01 sedan, and made sure to tighten everything up while the car was at ride height. Then, seeing online that its recommended to get an alignment after changing suspension, I took it to a local repair shop that does alignments. Guy at the shop said they...

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

Well, after figuring out the coilover situation, I got everything put together right. Also went ahead and dipped the wheels white. Very pleased with the turnout on both accounts. Will be adding another layer or two of dip and then adding glossifier soon. So far the dip is holding up very well!

    Bad strut issues, can’t drive

Brand new. I think I may have just found the issue. I’m missing a bushing that’s causing the rods to be able to move up and down? https://imgur.com/gallery/TEKxO There’s a link to an image of them, if the one I tried to put in didn’t work

    Bad strut issues, can’t drive

Ok, so I just installed Tein Basics Z coilovers over the weekend, and on my first drive there was a ton of squeaking and sound of movement. I come to realize, the strut rod in the shock is poking up through my top hats as I ride. Like moving up and down. What did I do wrong? I can’t drive my car...

There’s no wobbling or anything, it feels secure, but I just hear a lot of movement and squeaking

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

UPDATE: So, I installed the Tein Basis Z coilovers this weekend, and I’ve run into an issue. Ride feels fine, need some to be adjusted a little higher, but squeaks a ton. Trying to figure out what it could be. I’m thinking it’s because I didn’t install everything loose (I took out the...

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

I dipped my hood in a somewhat thin layer and haven't had any issues thus far. I'd be dipping my wheels white and then spraying the glossifier on top of that, so I think it'd hold up pretty well as long as the coats are on the thick side.

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

Thanks! Yeah, I'd definitely like to get everything painted back up; I think it looks pretty decent for what I've been able to do with it myself. I've heard by the time I have my hood/bumper painted it'd just make sense to have the whole car repainted $$$-wise. Is that true? I've never...

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

Main thing is to be careful, and get everything where you want it before you cut fabric or try to tighten things back down. I went through one other boot trying to get it to where I have it now

    RyMi's 2001 Accord Sedan EX

I can't really give you a detailed explanation of how I did it, but do some searching on the forums for shift boots. Theres at least two DIYs I pulled info from on here that helped a lot in understanding some procedural routes to take

Thanks man! Shift knob was a kind of rare Razo shift knob. I don't believe they make them any more, but I was lucky enough to find one. Shift boot was a black leather one I found on eBay that was supposed to fit my car."Fitment" is interesting with the sedan, since its not meant to have a boot...

    Exhaust system help

My advice would be to keep looking for a Magnaflow catback in your budget. I got one new for my 01 V6 Sedan a couple months ago on amazon between 4 and 500. Stainless is very nice, and the lifetime warranty is always awesome to have. I can give more specifics on sound if you're going that...
