Thanks man, yeah it's in pretty good shape, but I am touching up the rear quarters to rust-proof them and seal/paint them for another 17 years ;).

Yup^ That's the plan, either the rubberized, or the rougher stuff that turns into an epoxy.

Trying to figure out the best rust reformer to use. I like POR15, but that is a RUSTPROOFER, not a REFORMER. I'm planning to use POR 15 after a quality rust reformer, then the undercoat.

Yup, that's what it is. Took forever to tape up perfectly, but I think it will be worth it. The 5thgen OEM lights don't have a housing 'frame' like the 6thgens, so there's no piece to actually blackhouse seperately. I had to get creative and make my own 'frame' yet not mess with the reflectors so that light output doesn't get affected. I'll post completed pics tomorrow, going outside right now to paint them.

The corners will be JDM amber. Clear to begin with - but modified as such from the inside of the lens. I'll show those when I get them.

Success! It was worth every second of it, taping and prep was everything. They came out mint! I realized that doing this in the cold with pre-warmed paint is the best, because it dries quick, doesn't leak under tape, and when tape peels off - it leaves a very defined line, no pieces come off with it, like they sometimes would if you let it dry overnight and the paint comes off with the tape.

I also painted the bottom and outer side parts of the lenses for effect. No light falls on any of the areas of paint, so it should be great.

Just have to put the lenses on tomorrow and they will be installed on car! Pics to come.
