01-02 owners! I just got a airbag recall letter.

I'm not going to trust some stranger's friend at Honda, I want physical evidence for myself.

If you arent effected, than you arent going to get physical evidence. It didnt effect every single 6G. They know which ones were effected by VIN and if your car falls within those effected, they'll contact you.

it just seems so specific to know that 2k etc. number of 6gas had this issue, makes me wonder how long they've known about it.

and like Ryan was saying, I swear I've seen more than two other recalls on things like that.

Ive seen/heard about a similar recall but never got a letter.

all I know is the last time I brought my car by Honda, they wanted to put it up on a lift and the technician looked at my car and was like "mother****er please..."

If you are registered on honda owner link and are not the original owner of the car, will you get the letter if affected?

my dad's 03 TL-S got the letter, and they just take the airbag out and look at the serial number (probably because of the 2 previous recalls and they can't even keep track of the good units anymore )...about 5% of vehicles that got the notice are affected, but they don't know if you have a good unit or not without taking it out.

So is this just for 01-02 owners.. arent the airbags all the same from 98-02? the only recall that the 98 has that i can find was the 998-1999 Accord; 1999 Odyssey Ignition Interlock recall..

01-02 accord airbags are dual stage. 98-00 are single stage. Also I got the same letter in teh mail and already got mine swapped out
