we get that...we got that from the first post.

what we dont understand is why a wheel shop is asking the customer what his wheels are made of.

imagine a doctor asking you where to make a cut on a surgery table, just before he gives you the gas to put you under. incompetence much?

if a damn wheel shop doesn't know, what are the chances someone on here knows? if it mattered, wouldn't the answer be all over google? or at least, people asking this question on other forums?

Sir. He was just trying to make sure. He said he assumed they were mostly aluminum, but he wanted to make sure.

He's still an idiot for even asking to "make sure." They're fricken alloy wheels. There's no way in hell he's going to use a different painting process for one metal composition vs another.

Wash/Strip.
Sand.
Etch Primer. (if bare metal)
Primer.
Paint.
Clear.
