2000 DX Door Frame Trim removal HELP!

the door trim on my 2000 DX is chipping badly and looking to repair it..

any ideas on how to get this crap off without ruining it?

here is a link to where i found a diagram but it does not show all the clips it has.. and they do not pry off easily!

i am trying to remove the long curved one and also if possible the short ones right by the window on each door hopefully new clips wont be in order because im sure they are special order at the honda dealer

Dude I highly recommend not taking that trim off unless you want to buy all brand new pieces. You CANNOT reuse the old trim once you take it off. Your best bet to fix the chipping is to tape around it, sand the hell out of it, then spray it black with a thick epoxy paint, something durable such as VHT epoxy or the like. You can also sand it, and use Trim-Brite vinyl trim blackout tape to cover it. Up to you man, but I highly recommend not messing with taking it off.

^ Not if you do it right man... Don't say that. It's been done, and turned out VERY well. Personally, I chose the trim blackout tape method for my sedan.

might you have a close up on how it came out? mine is horribly ugly

i was also thinking about painting it white (body color) also need to paint my wheels black haha
