You can always have the insurance company give you the check and then by the car back. I got about 7,000$ for my car and then bought it back for 1,700. Fixed it for about 3,000 and pocketed the rest of the money. Does that work in Minnesota ?
It's also like you will need to replace most, if not all of that corner of the car's suspension. I slide into a curb at 20mph, had to replace most of it.
