4-1 Headers are for top end... 4-2-1 is for overall range(low mid and somewhat high)

There are 4-1 headers for the Accord anways... And they wouldnt make a difference. Welll at least for our motor.

i think 4-1 gives u more high end power and and 4-2-1 gives u low end power..

you cant find a 4-1 headers for after market unless you have one custom done. but i believe RMF makes a 4-1 h22 headers though. :)

correct

wasnt there a 4-1 header by "kamikaze"? noooo idea if its still available.

also some oem "headers" are split in the middle to simulate a 4-2-1 design in the space of a 4-1 like the rsx-s to give you low-down torque and to heat the cat faster...

4to 1 is for high end, and 4-2-1 is for low end. Its greatly simplified of course but thats the basic jist of it.

Its comes down to a huge single pipe carrying off the gases and the fact that the runners converge completley earlier most of the time and as such have a more high end oriented helmholts resonance that asssits with exhaust scavenging at hgher rpms.

I don't think the F23 rev's high enough to extract the high-end HP that a 4-1 header is optimized for, anyway.
