Short RAM intake. Stays in the engine bay from the intake.

The CAI is a cold air Intake going down below the bay into the bumper.

And the Resonator is behind the bumper on the passenger side. held on by two 10MM bolts.

the guide is on the site on how to turn your stock intake into a CAI. Give you a bit more sound. but NOTHING like an SRI

im going to silently bump this because I will be intently interested in what you find out. I have a similar issue and I am troubleshooting my Solenoid right now.

his wasn't a solenoid issue.

Step 1
Check oil.

I'll give you step two when you do that.

Vtec oil might be low?

I use to own the f23a1 and when my car hit vtec @4000rpm it popped vtec so loud people thought I had a swap.

I removed the intake resonator today, and did that "poor mans cold air intake" and it does sound a bit different but not a huge difference
