So last summer my family took me on a cruise, The Carnival Valor. I've had these pics for a while now, obviously, and finally got around to picking out my favorites to share. They were all ran through Lightroom for some minor editing, but nothing crazy. On with the pics...
1. Here's the ship (took this in Mexico):
2. Schedule of events:
3. Once we boarded the ship, we ran around checking everything out. Here's the top deck with the water slide and everything...
4. View from the top, looking down the elevators into the main lobby:
5. Cool guy in the casino:
6. We starting pulling out of the port, so I went back up top to get a nice shot of downtown Miami.
7. We got lots of towel animals in our room over the course of the week, this was the coolest one lol:
8. First stop, Grand Cayman. The port wasn't very photogenic, so I took a pic of some pirates instead:
9. The excursion we did at Grand Cayman first included a visit to Stingray City, home of some of the biggest stingrays evar:
10. ...And then some snorkeling fun.
11. Then we spent some time walking around near the port, saw lots of different cars:
12. Back on the ship that night, got bored and took a picture of my bag 'o gear:
13. Second stop, Isla Roatan, Hondurs. Got up early and had a nice view of the other ships that were docked near us, here's the Carnival Liberty.
14. And here's a view of the port, very nice looking place:
15. Our excursion package here consisted involved extreme ziplining, a monkey, and access to a private island. Here's the monkey:
16. Told you it was extreme! (this wasn't even the highest jump we did):
17. Here's the private island I mentioned. Crystal clear water...:
18. Some locals:
19. The sunset that night was gorgeous:
20. Third stop, Belize City, Belize. Had to take a small boat to get there, so no pics of the port. We hopped into a small tour van and took a 1hr drive into the country to find some of the biggest Mayan ruins in existance. This was a nicer area of town we passed through:
21. Few minutes later, the not-so-nice area of town...:
22. We also saw a mountain that looks like a face looking up towards the sky:
23. Police check points with no police, just a speedbump:
24. We had to take this "bridge" to get to the ruins:
25. Model/map of the Xunantunich ruins we visited:
26. Lots of steps to get to the top! After climbing these stairs there were a series of narrow passages around and inside the ruins:
27. Awesome view from up top:
28. Another view, no guardrails here:
29. View from the other side of the ruins, once we went back down:
30. Fourth stop, Cozumel, Mexico. This was our taxi/tour guide for the day:
31. He showed us a lot of shops, they all looked like this:
32. You can buy anything in Mexico haha:
33. Our guide took us to some Mayan ruins, not nearly as impressive at the ones in Belize, but still cool:
34. He also showed us a gorgeous beach on the other side of the island:
35. Practicing my rolling shots, lol:
36. Turtle thingy back near the docks, you can see our ship in the background:
37. Found some Mexican rice:
38. Got some music on our walk back to the ship:
39. Scary stealth-looking boat had me wondering wtf it was doing near the cruise...:
40. Sunset over Mexico was insane:
41. Break dancing show that night, featuring the Raw Meat crew from Miami, FL:
42.
43.
44. Fun shot of my brother glow stringing in the elevator as it moved past the lights:
45. And that concludes my trip...
Thanks for looking!, all the pics are available full size @ flickr.com/raymondn.
