i want your opinions on if a gsxr 600 or zx6r would be good for a beginner? the reason i choose 600cc because i dont wanna look freakishly huge on a smaller bike and i dont think smaller bike could handle my wieght. so give me your opinions on starting on a 600cc bike is a good idea or bad idea
Thanks
Russell

Most people say that a 600 is a good starter bike.. I was looking at 250's for myself because I felt a 600 was to big.

I would say sit on whatever bike you want, and deciede which one you feel comfortable and make your decision from there

from personal experience I rode my friend gsxr 750 back in high school just for **** and to learn , it was scary, but it wasn't heavy to ride after a couple of tries,
just like a car feel out the engage point in the clutch(after you put in 1st gear of course) for a few start off then once you're comfortable go through each gear
i suggest early morning or night in an empty parking lot

EDIT: oh yeah I'm not a big dude either

600 is what all my rider friends have told me to buy. and i'm pretty lightweight. told me a lot of people that start on anything smaller get too used to no power and underestimate more power when they sit on it.

it's all up to you. you know how you think.

250 to practice and master then work ur way up , a 250 is more forgiving than a 600

more mistake friendly. When you're on the gsxr 600, one mistake, you're most likely done.

Sorry, you can call me a hypocrite. I actually started off with a 600 too. But if i had known what i do now, I probably would've made a different choice. I am sure you can learn on a 600, but a lot of people end up being too scared to ride it and never ride. But trust me, a 250 is more than fast/big enough. It's all ultimately up to you, and whatever you end up getting, good luck!
