my issue is: why is it ONLY a vector image with some text? 2D text at that.

why can't we have something more...interesting? doesn't have to be multi-colored to be cool.

something like
jpeg

or with some texts

i dont know wtf to search for to get my idea across... :tumbleweed:

i already have 2 vector-and-text shirts from 6ga and probably won't be ordering any more...

the civic posted...now that's on the way. make the measurement lines a little more interesting and it's doable.

Ryan are you talking about the shirt I made for an example 6ga.com shirt in my "6thgenaccord clothes" thread? Or were you talking about another matt?

ok i see what your talking about , kinda urbanist art approach. They only think is there is a lot of detail, which conflicts with the idea of keeping the image simple and not 4dr/2dr specific, otherwise love it.

as for the text yeah, i or someone else can work on custom text, so it doesn't look like we copied and pasted it from ms Word.

again does 6thgenaccord.com need a logo? or want a logo? if so, this logo an be put on the front (right pocket area?) and the design can be put on the back.

-and again to the slogan "clean. simple. performance." some expressed interest in the fact that not every member is moding or tuning for performance... so perhaps that should be changed, but i don't think it should be the "not your mom's...." slogan cuz that doesn't pertain to basically anyone over 21ish. "built, not bought" is in the best direction but only about 95% there, almost.

^ I don't think Cody wants to rebrand the website lol. I mean I know what you're saying and I agree the shirts should not be model specific, and I agree that "not your mom's car" is undesirable for the older folk. But as long as "Clean Simple. Performance" has been the slogan I don't think we're going to change that for a t-shirt. And I would say that it is closer to home for more members than "Built Not Bought". To me, built pertains to guys that have torn their cars down and built them back up, or people who have turbo'd, supercharged, or done some crazy NA stuff. Maybe that's just me. But I like your idea of having something small and simple (text) on the front on either side, and then something on the back (image).

The reason I'm making these points is that while discussion is good, I think we're losing objectivity a little bit. Cody made a point of saying keep it simple stupid, so I'm just saying let's all not forget that.

I am thinking Ryan is encouraging a graphic pattern of some sort to make the shirt a bit different than in the past, so less minimalist (I don't think he was talking about detailed imagery as in illustrating specific coupe/sedan models, I think we all know that's out).

I'm working on a few ideas now, I'll get them up soon as previously stated.

Ryan.... it's all about cost. A more graphic-intense desing is simply going to cost more. And we all know that's the last thing that the majority of the people on here want to do, is spend more money than neccessary. :lawl:

If you don't put a car on there..... I don't know what else you WOULD put on to keep it from being too boring.

And vector graphics are the way to go. Again, cost.

Which is why we drive Accords :lawl: Really though, having the cars on there...you know no one can agree on having the coupe or sedan, and having more than one design costs more. So the way to do it, in my humble opinion, is have something small like 6thgenaccord.com on the front of the shirt (left or right breast), and on the back have only a front view of the car (since coupe/sedan fronts are similar), a little bigger and centered. Done. Simple, clean, serves everyone's needs, cheap.

Nawwwww what I mean?

heh, I said breast.

I agree with most of you guys. It should be clean and simple. The front of the car(so it is not type specific) in a vector image is enough with the slogan clean.simple.performance. under the image. and on the front 6GA.com or 6thgenaccord.com on the left breast pocket area

yeah, just something as a background pattern, then put the text/car in the middle or something...

2 spelling fails in the first paragraph :redface2: :lawl:

anyway :lawl: i dont see how one color would be more expensive to print even if it has more stuff on it. i have a shirt with a design from the shoulder down to the bottom, but its only black ink. know what i mean? they only have to make one pass with the same color.

well...whats the only thing every single one of our cars share? (that we would want to look at, that is...)

think...

think...

headlights! but then we get into retro/stock...amber strips/cleared...etc :crazyrun:

the sedan shirt only got printed since the 98-00 sedan on subzeros with visors, fog lights, eyelids, and sidemarkers was the design chosen then printed. it was "this is the sedan shirt" and that was that.

thats probably the only way its going to happen...
