i want to mapquest how long of a drive it is 1st, caz i want to "plan out the day" see what time i have to leave to get there for a certain time etc

and whats the date, blknight should update his 1st post with a date at least, caz if you werent paying attention to the thread everyday, you have no clue whats going on. I dont know anything

I know it took me 6hrs to get from Enfield to DC so your probably lookin at about 5 hrs maybe 6, I don't know where skyline drive is in VA. I'm going to plan on leaving early in the morning most likely, then meet up with the MA/CT/NH/RI crew at the Penthouse Boutique off 95 in CT.

I got quoted a 9hr drive but when i recalculated with a faster speed it jumped down to 7hrs. I'll probably be leaving the Bean at like 3-4am to get there early and have some buffer for late people meeting up, rests and gas.

i got 10-12 hrs according to map quest plus stops

i will most likely leave early friday morning so i will need a hotel for 2 nights

it took me 4 hrs to get to chevychase md, which is right after balitmore from the bronx, so we will see.. ill leave early sat, sleep out sat night & drive home sunday morning. might have cars with me 2 so we will see

I live 15 mins from chevy chase, Md and Skyline Dr is about 1hr from there straight HWY driving from 495-66 to Fort Royal where Skyline Dr is. Here is a map quest link so that you guys can find out the distance from you.


Again I'm sure everyone won't drive back that night so if rooms are needed contact me atleast a few weeks before the date and I'll make arrangements in the MD/VA/DC area for members planning to stay the night.
