update: took it to the shop......said it was overcharged and the compressor couldnt function correctly.....they recharged it and tightened my belts to spec.....works like new.....only cost me $100

That is why it's really never recommended that you recharge your system yourself. People tend to think that more is better when it comes to recharging, then something like this happens. That, and the amount of pressure in the lines can vary from car to car, so those gauges that they sell at the autoparts store might not be that accurate. The ones I've seen usually don't even have psi on them, they just have a green zone, yellow zone and red zone for pressure.

Glad you got it fixed, my old 525i that I had when I lived in FL had no AC and it was a ***** in the summer, lol.
