actually for the amount of work and PPG base, pearl, and clear it's actually a killer deal.. other shops wanted around $4500+ and thats not including the custom front lip.
woww shes is gonna be purrrttyyyy
yup all I need now is some new leather seat covers, there pretty worn down.
Damn this is going to look great, good choice! $3800 isn’t bad at all for a paintjob like that.
This ain't no Maaco job son.
I did a lot of research about paint shops and I'm glad i didnt go the maaco or earl schieb route. My buddy got his painted there and it looked like ****. I guess thats what you would expect for a $500-$1000 paint job. Most shops that charge that go the single stage route and love to mask everything off, I wanted to give this accord life again!
I think there is a sedan with a similar colour, but this looks like it's going to turn out quite nice.
Good to see the extra effort being put in to doing it right.
i did a quick search and found a coupe with balloon pearl and another one with the lexus starfire pearl. That was the original color I wanted to go but the glacier frost mica was more dark grayish pearl which looks awesome under the sun. Btw, Thanks for the compliment!
$3800 is on the cheap side for a proper paint job noob cakes.
Looking good so far OP. I'm a fan of the color.
haha true that, I heard some shops charge this much for non 3-stage (pearl, chameleon, candy, etc.) paint jobs. so I think it was a steal! Thanks..
I wanna see this in for PICS =)
pics will be up by the weekend, right now it's being wetsand and buffed.
I want to see how this custom lip kit looks

paint looks pristine though!
From what I know there were only a couple 6thgen members that custom fitted the 98-00 front lip to the 01-02 bumpers. I went with the fiberglass replica route so it would be easier for the body shop to cut and shape it to the body lines. They told me the poly OEM lip would be more expensive because they would have to use plastic repair kit and a lot of labor hours.
wow.. quality paint job
good lookin bro!
I would love to see how this looks in the end!
the exterior should be done in a couple months, just wanna keep it simple and clean for my daily.
