I have a 99 EX V6 with a AEM short ram intake and sometimes it makes a screeching/whistling sound. Is happens when I don't floor the pedal, but when I floor the pedal it sounds fine. And the screech/whistling noise happens when I let go of the pedal after flooring it while the car decelerates. Any suggestions about that screeching/whistling sound? Thanks..

The filter is tight. It doesn't make the whistle/screech everytime, just sometimes. But everything is installed tight. It seem like it's been like this for a month ever since I had my intake installed. But it sounds good when I floor it, it's just when I don't floor it too hard it sometimes makes that whistle/screech. I'm thinking its because the intake is sucking in air that's why it sounds like that??

have you opened your hood and revved your engine by pulling the throttle cable to try and hear the sound with your head under the hood?

The whistle is normal.

This is true. And the screech is probably just the whistling sound when the motor is sucking in a lot of air at one time. My CRX used to make this noise when I would be going down the drag strip.
