Here's a shot i took on my phone last week. I was in Sedona for the week and hit up a few trails down there on some of that red dirt! Awesome stuff.

I love getting back on the saddle again - yesterday I was riding Whiting ranch near my house (they've had a couple of Mt. Lion attacks in the past) but about 3 yrs. ago we had a huge fire there and a lot of it is still growing so doubt we'll have any kittie cats coming along anytime soon.

Ken, looks like a great place to do some trail riding.

Would have to travel a good way from home to find terrain like that!

Bump.

It's been quiet here lately.

Been spending money on my bike for accessories. Never thought this hobby could be that costly. Lol. It's worth it though. I've been riding the bike since I bought it and lost some good pounds :)

I still haven't taken a picture of my bike. I didn't even get to get a shot before the changes :(
Great to hear your liking the bike and spending some money on upgrades :D

I have been trying to ride to work more, and I did a long distance ride Tuesday. First actual road ride I have done in forever and I hit the wall really bad on some hills haha. I thought I was going to have to stop and have somebody pick me up.

Roger, congrats on the purchase.

I really need to get some rims for my bike and get it back on the road.

As for pedals, have you considered getting regular pedals and using the toe straps?

what kind of bike do you have?

i already picked up a shimano pd-a530, which is dual-sided. it's platform, and SPD clipless, which I think is pretty cool. I can use my regular shoe if I just want a chill ride, or go clipless if I want some serious riding :)

whats what I like about Road Bike. All I need is bring my bike out, then my journey begins. No plan where I would go. It stays on the road, not on the roof of car. :afro:

Yeah, I've been riding it as much as possible. I'm mostly on bikeforums.com learning some stuff. Picked up some front and rear lights so I can ride at night. Also picked up a saddlebag to put my repait kit, which I think is really important.

My cousins are into fixies, and we went biking from 10:30pm-12am. It's actually more chill to ride at night. Less cars and not hot. We only did 22 miles, but we'll do 50 miles next time. :)

Yeah riding at night is lots of fun. I wish I got to do it more. I have gone on a few group chill rides at night and I love riding down a street with the cool breeze, plus seeing how bright my light is haha

Eric, was wondering if you can pick up CAAD9 5 frame for a good price? I feel like 50cm is a lil small for me and I wanna go 52cm

If I can get it for good price, it might be worth the upgrade. (or not?)

Also thinking of upgrading to Mavic Ksyrium Elite from Shimano R-540

Roger......I'm ashamed to say at the moment I can't even remember.

It was nothing special, and has been sitting in the garage at my parents's place for years now......so not cool.

I should probably sell it and get myself something new. Saw a couple of nice Trek and Diamondback bikes that I liked.

That's cool. You could put it back in driving condition and use it for awhile until you find the bike that you really want.

Check CL more often because you can get a good deal there.
