Brought 2 guns from home back to school after spring break, and finally found a (free!) outdoor shooting range like 10 mins away, and went there for the first time yesterday. I shot 1100 rounds today with my .22 lol, and 50 through my 12ga. There's a skeetshooting range there too (that's also free) so i'm going back tomorrow to throw some birds and mess around with my .22 again

It's a Remington .22 long rifle and a Winchester 1400 12 ga, both semi-auto. I'm thinking about bringing some more guns to school now but bigger guns = bigger bullets = more expensive ammo, so I might now. Maybe a .223 or a .243 though, or a .22 handgun.

Anyways, anyone else into guns?

my godfather is. he collects like military guns and he puts them together from parts and all that. you would have a field day at his house, he has at least 100 guns.

be like it is
my dad brings home a new gun like every couple of weeks. he bought another gun safe last week (like the 5 foot tall locker ones) and put it in our second bathroom (i was like wtf is this doing in here?) cause his room is full of safes. its ridiculous. and hes annoyed that i spend money on my car...

i enjoy shooting .177 pellet guns cause they are almost inaudible in the city and i can still kill animals lol. my dads got a .177 long barrel pistol pellet gun with no recoil and a hair-trigger...its so much fun to hunt in my backyard. my buddies would come over when we were done with work and hunt squirrels and rabbits...lots of fun.

yeah my family has quite a few guns, but definitely not as many as some people.

rifles - 2 .22's (i have one here), 30-30, 30-06, .223, .243
shotguns - my winchester 12ga and my dad's remington 12ga
handguns - s&w's - 22, 357 mag, 38 special, and then a remington/colt WWII .45

at school i just have my shotty & one of the .22 rifles. I've been thinking of bringing back or buying another one but .22 ammo is SOOO cheap lol I don't know if it would be financially wise for me to shoot a larger calibur haha

yeah i've been considering getting a concealed permit when i turn 21... not that i'd carry it at all time (imo that's just asking for trouble) but every now and then...

you know, you'd be surprised how many places you CANNOT carry a loaded firearm. Also you'd be surprised at how much restraint you would have while carrying concealed. Once that trigger is pulled........live change forever. be it for the good or bad.

The cool thing about the CCH class is that you learn not only how to fire your weapon, but how to carry, conceal, clean and safely operate not only revolvers but semiauto's as well. Its made me a safer firearms owner.
