Hey guys, seeing as how I just got my accord, I've been doing a ton research and looking for some great deals on stuff I can possibly afford right now. I always feel kind of edgy when it comes to ebay, so tell me what you guys think about this Apexi muffler:

The muffler looks legit.. but I would recommend making a catback out of that. Don't just bolt in onto your existing stock exhaust system - make one. If not, the I would recommend buying a full catback that is premade, as opposed to just the muffler.

What are your plans?

I'm not gonna lie...I really don't know alot about cars. At least not as much as I should probably know. I'd love to do 7433539754789345 things to my car, but the only real thing holding me back is money. Catback systems run like, what, 500 bucks, and thats relatively cheap? I'm a full time college student, with absolutely no money except for bills and such. ****, I'd probably have a full body kit by now if it wasn't for the shortage on cash.

Didn't know I should do the catback first. Is it something I can accomplish on my own, or is it something that should be taken to a mechanic? Can I actually make one?

i dont know...you like that N1 style? i had one....sure it wasnt real apexi....it was some knock off brand......

well exhaust tone was real rice.....due to some cheap brand, but regardless of its sound, it didnt look too good on the car.....just my opinion :D

Honestly, I'd rather have something with a deeper tone. The less ricey, the better. I'd actually like something like flowmaster, but those go well with muscle cars more than an import like ours. Any good ideas, or what do you use now?

if your state doesnt hassle you with exahust mod and stuff, get it custom....

get pretty good muffler, and get 2.25inch or 2.5inch piping from cat.....
if you think its too loud/raspy, you can always add long resonator.....

i have custom setup on my car, and i live in cali...:D i have to smogg my car so ima have to take them down for testing....but n e ways....

i have 2.25inch piping from cat, i have 18" vibrant resonator, 22" magnaflow dorkscrew resonator, then i have magnaflow center to center muffler.....

pretty deep.....pretty loud too cuz my muffler is really old...LOL but it sounds nice i guess.....you can ask how mine sounds like to henry aka hendizzle(sp?), cuz he probably heard it more than me....LOL

What he said ^^

And also - the N1 "cylinder can" style mufflers don't look good on sedans. Some coupes can pull it off, but definitely not sedans. What you want is Apex'i WSII catback exhaust. Sure it will run you $450, but it's worth every penny!!! Tone rules and look is clean, not ricey at all! Good performance gains as well.

I'd say no.

If you're gonna spend the money on a branded muffler like that, get the Apexi WS2 muffler over that. It's quieter but sounds much nicer imo. If you want that N1 style you can just get a knock-off brand and it'll most likely make similar if not the same sound.

Yea go for the whole cat back or get a custom one done up nice. I have the megan racing cat back and I really like the sound its pretty deep but I also have the headers on there as well so that makes a little difference but I'm with the guys on the n1 style looking werid on the sedans the only reason I like it is because my rear lip hides the muffler but when I had the lip of I thought it looked bad. I can put a video up if you would like, some driving around outside the car and then some just standing revs. Good luck.
