Hey whats good, I have been searching threads for a while as I am getting ready to do this swap but no one seems to specify if they convert to obd1 for tuning purposes. Also I have a the clutch pedal assembly from a 5th gen and want to know which clutch pedal bracket do I use a 6th gen or 5th gen. Thanks

Thats good that answers my question. I might just stay obd2 for now just to get everything with the manual swap in perfect condition first.

I didn't have to do a tranny swap, but I don't regret going OBD1 one bit. It follows my personal philosophy (K.I.S.S. - Keep it simple stupid!), and makes troubleshooting/tuning/customizing the car's 'personality' easy as pie.

My main reason for the conversion was to get the most out of the mods I put on my car. Looking back, I really feel that I was wasting money trying to make my car perform better while OBD2.

Put a manual shift boot on the automatic and call it a day. Clean, simple, and same old performance.
