What the widest tires you can fit on stock steelies? I was thinking of 205/60/15 or 205/65/15?

205s are a definite fit. 215s would probably fit although they'd look goofy...

^Any change in profile will affect your speedometer, no matter how minute. But your profile of 65 is staying the same as stock according to Juicebox. So I'd say your speedo won't change as a result of having a tire that is only wider.

the second number is a % of the width...so theres a difference between 65% of 195mm and 65% of a 205mm tire ;)

i've had 205/65s on the car...they were really...off-road looking :eh: im on my second set of 205/55s and i like em.

if only more tires were available in 205/60...that would be perfect, imo.

205/60/15 is only 6mph fast. and even if wheels are off it's not like it's hard to figure out how off they are. just go by one of those radar signs

thats what i was gonna say.
even the guy who works at a local tire shop was thinking the profile number indicating the actual width. i wanted 225/40 18, and all they had was 215/40 18. i said i didnt want it, and he was trying to sell me the tire by telling me they are the samething. i lol'd and showed him on computer.

he told me not to tell his manager LOL
