I'm trying to get the Bisimoto Stage 2 camshaft and I wanted everybody's opinion on what ECU I should get with it. I already have I/H/E and I heard you can get pretty noticable gains with the stage 2 and tuning with an aftermarket ECU. Now that I think about it maybe I should just get the stage 1 cam and cam gear.

Also this is quoted directly from their site: "All regrind, hardweld and custom rocker applications require core exchanges. If a core is not available, please call prior to ordering."

I probably could go without the accord for a day or two but if I have to send them mine in exchange I could get owned if it takes a while for the new one.

If you want tuned w/ an ECU, you'll have to go OBD1. If you want AEM EMS, you have to swap to manual if you arent already. You can't tune with the stock ECU.

That's not the way a core charge works. I used to think that too. Its a deposit they keep until you send them your usable stock one back after the switch. Meaning they have at least one in stock that they regrind when you order. Then when you intall the Bisi/Web cam you send them your OEM cam and they refund your 200 beans.

I have been researching tuning options for this application for a while and have not decided yet. I have the Bisimoto/Web stage 2 cam sitting next to my bed right now for sweet dreams. In the end it will come down to what my tuner recommends and is willing work with. If he says that an Apexi Neo gives him sufficient flexibility then it may just be that simple. The shop also distributes Hondata so I may look into that, but I think the costs for that will end up being too much. There are cheaper open source versions of Hondata but I wouldn't expect the shop to work with them.

To switch to OBDI you will need to buy a conversion harness, an OBDI ecu, the tuning program, and fuel injectors. At least the one 6thgener I know with OBDI said he has to switch his injectors. And none of that will be worth a damn if you don't have somone to tune it on a dyno.

I am also looking into the AEM Air and Fuel controller. It costs $700 less than an AEM EMS and looks like it has a lot of options.

Start from the tuner and work backwards.

Also another thing you should think about is upgrading your valvetrain. At the minimum you should be putting in upgraded valve springs. Sure you can get away with stock, but do want to squeek by, or do you want to do it right?

I'll be sending a head sometime this winter to http://jgenginedynamics.com/ for the multi-angle valve job and reassembled with their single springs titanium retainers and stainless valves. Look under cylinder heads.

hmm maybe I should just save my money for the most part and pay for a manual swap. Can we do a six speed swap on our cars? from like a tl or something?

Ya you can do a 6spd swap, if you have a 6cyl.

If you have a 4cyl, 5spd is your only option. That is unless you can fund a complete K24 and TSX 6spd swap.

Didn't you get a Jet reflash? Why do you say that Jet reflash won't be sufficient for more than bolt-on mods? Did Jet say that themselves?
