Thanks for the comments. I just remember that dude sonic had good luck without too many mods. Obviously i have had my own experiences with on an f22 which didn't convince me.

I really want to do an H22 swap but i don't even know if it's legal in CA since i have an 02. Plus it would need to be BARed for me to be comfortable. That is way too much money, i'd be better off buying another car. Boost is out of the question for this car. It's a DD, i've only known one person who had a dead reliable turbo honda from the get go. Some had early problems that took a long time to get sorted out, some had small issues all the time. Not that there is a carb legal kit anyway.

H22 would be legal if you swap the obd2 one in it..but really expensive and i believe hard to find the ecu for.

Honestly if you want power and its still considered bolt on..go buy a nitrous kit..slap a 75shot on and call it a day..I hooked up my kit within 3hours. and for under $350 too.

thats if you have a i4 that is.

See, i don't want a more powerful "straightline" car. Even with my talon, which was very quick off the line, i liked the power more "on tap" for fun in the curves too.

Nitrous is obviously the cheapest, easiest to get away with without being legal, etc. I just don't think i'll enjoy it.

I really pretty much knew the answer to my question. I figure my accord is going to be as fun as it gets power wise. A swap would cost the same as getting a 1g dsm or galant vr4 which would give me a much better platform for a "fun" car and keep the accord for a DD. The problem is it would be my 3rd car and it would be impossible for me to keep around, much less modding my accord minorly, pretty much restoring my jag, and probably resto modding a 3rd car. If i only had more time and space.

Im glad I never wasted money on bolt ons. You could shave the head. its not that costly. Just need a new head gasket. of course we have a interference engine so you probably couldn't take off much. Can we advance ignition timing on our cars? or is it completely controlled by the ecu

Your only gaining 50hp for an h22 swap. Why not just do a turbo build like shaheed. Your f23 long gears are nice with turbo. I think shaheed is selling his kit and long block for 2,000$ but im not sure
