many of you guys know i want to boost my accord. i had a spare f23 that i was planning on building up but sold it for cosmetic parts. Now my options are wide open. I want to know which setup is more boost friendly and will yield good low end torque, and have good top end hp. that is why i was thinking a g23 setup. but still open to options. So right now my options for turbo are f23, g23 w/ h22 vtec head, g23 w/ h23 vtec head, h23 swap, h22 swap. eventually the one i pick will be built for boost.
ive been leaning toward the g23 w/ H23 vtec head but i still dont know how well it flows. does it even flow better than the h22 vtec head? something just tells me to go w/ that. I havent done much researching cause im in school but def will. wanted to see what you guys thought first.

IMO go H22 or H23 VTEC. They are already low end torque monsters (well for a honda motors) and boosting them would give you that mid/hi end power you want.

if you really want a good low and high end i would use the H22a4 block and head with f23 crank and rods...

but I dont know your skill level and your funds.

all H motors are not boost friendly due to high compression... stick to the f for the best bang for the buck

Well it the h can be boosted with high compression ratio it just requires the bottom end to be forge (pistons, rods, walls and bearings) and low boost numbers maybe 8-12 and good tuning and your set :D-future plans hopefully

While this is true if he's going for a REAL BUILD then he is going build the block anyway (forged internals, low comp pistons, ect). If the internals are to remain the same then yea F series would be more ideal than H series. Neither are truly boost friendly stock though, at least not if your looking at it from a reliability aspect.

i would do the h22 vtec swap but damn everybody has one. Its too easy for me. i want to stand out. When i wanted to boost the f23 that stood out cuz its a single cam. everybody thought i was crazy for boosting a single cam. alright so f**k the h22 idea(i know probably the best option) but i want to complicate my life a little. Its either the f23, or g23 vtec. Now i want to know which head is better for boost. H23 vtec or h22vtec. But theirs other things to consider. H22 vtec has more support as in cams, manifolds etc.
what do u guys think f23, g23 vtec w/ h22head, g23 vtec w/ h23head

Same head dude. Unless you meant G23Vtec and G23non-vtec.

Do this instead - Pick a power level, and find the most effective way of getting there.
