Too old to be on these forums, but I thought you guys might be interested to see what JDM accords were like way back in the mid eighties.
It was from a deceased estate, has about 56,000 miles on it and cost about US$1100. The model is a 2.0Si which has a 160HP DOHC B20A1 engine, a different engine to the B20A in the 3rd gen Prelude.
Apart from some ugly rims the car was stock standard, but did come with some good OEM options. Front lip, rear ducktail spoiler, climate air conditioning and an extendable bumper pole (wtf) are the extras it has.
Mine is a 1986, so it's a 85-86 non facelift. The 87-89 had US style tails, folding mirrors and 6*9 speakers in the rear.
This is how it looked when I first got it about 6 weeks ago.
And the Honda collection. There are actually two more now, donor cars for the 3rd gen. One for the 5 speed gearbox, the other for the interior.
The first donor car had all the factory wiring for fog lights with retractable covers, but the fogs themselves were missing. I found some Prelude badged fogs and put those on. Since then the Prelude sticker has been removed from them.
