Brake Flush

Well, I just got my brake flush done earlier. All I've got to say is it was pretty dam cheap. My friend's dad cut me a lot of slack and only charged me $25 for the brake flush because I provided my own fluid. He even cleaned the outside of the reservoir for me cause he noticed it was pretty dirty. I've tested it out and my brake response is much better than before. I don't have to constantly depress harder in order to get my car to stop. I have yet to test the brakes at high speeds now but I'm sure the response is much better than before!

Do me a favor. Turn the engine off and pump the pedal 2-3 times to deplete the brake booster, pedal should be hard. Hold it where it gets hard and feel if the pedal moves at all. Having to press the pedal harder and harder to stop sounds like a fluid leak, seal leak in the brake master, or vacuum leak to the brake booster.

I just did what you told me finch and the pedal is hard as hell now. I tried seeing if the pedal can go even deeper but I couldn't. It also doesn't go as deep. What does that mean then?

Means everything is good. I just wanted to make sure that when you hold the pedal it doesn't lose pressure. That would mean there is another problem and I just wanted to make sure your bakes were working safely. Have fun with the new brakes and stop with confidence!
