I recently dropped my car on some Megan Coilover Sleeves but in the rear I did not cut the bump stops, the front had no bump stops. Now the car sits nice in the front with plenty of room left on the sleeve for more drop. However in the rear I'm all the way down on the sleeve and does not seem to be going any lower. When I first dropped it in the rear I had about 1.25" left on the sleeve to go lower.. So when I wanted to go lower I brought the spindles down on the sleeve, yet it did not go any lower. Is it from me not cutting the bump stop and not allowing the car to sit any lower or something else preventing it? Thanks!

You need to replace your struts, that's the problem. If the rear bump stop is already hitting that means your strut is completely compressed. Stock / stock replacement struts are not recommended for lowering your car. You need to get some struts that can handle a how low you are trying to go.

Search the forum, I'm sure there's multiple threads about lowering on sleeves the proper way. Good luck

They struts weren't resting on the bump stop when sitting only when hitting a bump it seemed because the strut didn't have room to travel when hitting a bump due to the bump stops not being cut. I also understand that when lowering a car it's not a good idea do it on stock struts, but I'm waiting on struts.

I cut the bump stop this morning and didn't seem to go any lower. I'm just assuming now it is the coilovers that aren't allowing it to drop any lower due to how high the original ride height is and the drop offered in that coilover brand, which is 3"... but I don't know? Can you tell me why you think it's the struts causing the issue of not going lower?
