Back in the day, these things used to jam your cassette deck over the years. I don't know how many I broke.

My dad has a kit from Peripheral to use with your stock HU. It works really well and uses the factory controls. You can use one in an Accord as well, how I would do it if I was still stock.

i use Monster iCarPlay or something like that. works really well, but like stated, if its turned up all the way on the ipod, it gets distorted.

I have this one aswell and it works perfect. Just leave ur device volume at about 80% and it sounds clear and I don't lose and bass or anything. Then again that tape is Monster brand and cost about $30 bucks. I picked mine up at a swapmeet for $5 bucks

Agree with everything that's been said. The sound quality is only as good as the .mp3/.aac on your Ipod though, so you make sure you're putting songs on that are good audio quality to begin with.

I keep my Ipod volume bar about 3/4 full, or as someone else said 80% is good. If you need more bass you can turn on bass boost on the Ipod, then adjust the car stereo bass as needed.

FM transmitters suck.

This. Forever.

I bought an 80 dollar one from RadioShack, and its garbage. It had static nonstop. and sometimes if i drive too far towards one side of town another radio station will take over, then i can't even find a good station.

I started using it simply to charge my ipod once i got a new radio, but NOW i have a USB input for my radio and i ran it into my center console so i can put a flash drive, etc., in it. :D

And as for the initial question, I have countless friends who use the Cassette things, they seem to be pretty contempt with them.

I got mine from 7/11 for 9.99 best thing I've put into my car. Works great no problems.
