Went out to Downtown Toronto with the wife to grab some bubble tea which didnt happen. Instead returned home on a CAA tow truck. I was going southbound on university avenue and there is a part of the road that is sort of inclined up. I hit that pretty hard and right away my cat started to drag on road. **** was making loud noise and also scraping underneath. How do I put the cat back? Or can I completely take it off?

I dont want to get attention from police when I drive the car. I do need the car for few more days.

On the side note, the car sounds so much nicer! deep growl and everything. I am gona make a video clip and post haha. I wonder how would it sound if I hit VTAAAAAAK:duckhunt:

That "nice sound" will get more attention from the police. Just put the cat back on. All you likely need is a bell ended piece of pipe that is the right size, and 2 U clamps. Might need a sawsall to clean up the busted pipe(s).

Wait, Kyle, you're selling a cat? I need one... My heat shield is making terrible terrible noises...

Just rip it off. That's what I did on my cars.

Subaru uses the worst/cheapest metal on their heat shields. I ended up just pulling most of them off w/ my hands.

If the cat.converter fell off, i would say just go to a shop and ask them to weld it back on. Simply as chances are it broke/sheared off and its not as easy as you just replacing 6 bolts.

If you want to take it off fully and install a straight pipe, you can. But your car will stink(which might attract police) and you will not pass emissions(if you are due anytime soon)

PS. Where on university ave where you driving...I go down there daily lolz

Levin I was going southbound on university and crossed wellington street west. You know how university curves to the east, it was an incline and I hit that part of the road pretty road. Then I drove more than a kilometre, embarrassed and all. Turned left on Bremner avenue and waited for CAA in front of Hotel Le Germaine.
