that's what i thought when i got behind the wheel of my 6spd. RX-8 back when i had it.

somehow, you learn to talk on your cell phone while going through gears in rush-hour traffic or simple city driving :driving:

lol, i remember there were times when i'd be on my cell phone, eating something, and shifting through the gears, haha.

this shiet is real.

haha i got one. the best $75 I ever spent.

I'm not complaining...it's a good law because I've seen some pretty fcuked up shiet happen because people were talking on the phone and driving. It just sucks that as I drive to school or whever..I see other people on the phone and no cop to bust them :( I wish I could give out "citizens citations"

Last year, some girl in a car was fiddling for her ipod and drove her car off the road and onto the sidewalk...Took out two girls that were walking by. This was all in front of the local hospital. One girl died in the hospital and the other girl was in critical condition I believe.

Well, I'm not professional, but I think breaking a law and receiving a ticket kinda seems logical. Again, I'm not a professional.

be like it is
the law's the law.

some people just can't do 2 things at once...like the phrase goes "can't walk and chew gum at the same time..."

it'd be nice to see the rest of the nation get serious about it. drive around between 4 and 6PM, i bet 90% of people are talking and driving...oblivious to whats happening around them...

i'll be honest, i talk on the phone and drive at the same time. it's really not hard to do both safely, but is it understandable why it's a law because a lot of people can't keep their concentration on the road while talking on the phone. And i have seen quite a few officers
blatantly breaking this law.

btw, one thing i dont understand are those signs that say report drunk drivers by calling 911 on the freeway...when it's illegal to talk on your phone(w/o blue tooth) on the freeway. kind of a catch 22 imo

Same deal we have here in New Zealand. I personally think it's a great law..... just wish they had brought it in earlier as my cousin would still be alive most likely!! (lady txtin and driving shunted him into the path of an oncoming 18 Wheeler)

One thing I have noticed (not sure if it's a problem state side??) is people reading books / magazines whilst driving on the freeway, it's becoming more and more frequent and @ 60mph thats far more dangerous than talking on a cellphone and driving IMHO
