had the same problem forever. i think i finally fixed it. the wire that connects to the ecu from the EGR valve was disconnected. i cut the wire, twisted it and pushed it back in. drove around and code is gone! so happy. so check and see if any wires are disconnected to your ecu. thought id share my success and try and help you. what will happen is eventually this code will clog up your cat from not recirculating excess gas fumes in the EGR system. don't flame me for posting on a 4 month old thread. lol
