I'm in the exact sam eposition as the original cretaor.
I'm looking for coilovers for my 2002 honda accord 4 cylinder SE. I'm deciding to get the

Ksport Kontrol pro which some with Upper mounts BUT with Accords there are no Camber adjustable plates which sucks!. I got a price on them for about 1030 CDN.

I'm also deciding between Street Basis (720) or Street Advanced (Super STreet) - without upper mount is 1080.
or TYpe 1 and TYpe 2.

Main Q is, do you feel its better to use OEM upper mounts or get coilover system coming with upper mounts and dampening adjustment. I wanted to clarify also do dampening adjustments just alter how fast compression is on the springs? Therefore, could it be wise to adjust damper throughout the seasons like winter/ summer?

Keep in mind I'm not a racer just daily driver and am planning to put 18 inch rims on next summer. This year im on stock 15 inch.

It depends. Do you just want a comfy daily driver, slam your ride, a combination of both, etc? I'm assuming you just want a comfy daily driver and in that case, I would recommend Tein SS (from my own experience) or their new Street Basis.

No i'm not into slamming my main reason is for that although i'm using stocks this summer i wanna get 18 inch rims next summer and remove the fender gap. So have the car maybe a finger or flush with the tires.

My main concern is will my original upper mounts (Car has 92 K Miles) wear off really quickly since having a coilover system or better just to get a full coilove system now which comes with upper mounts ( i.e Kontrol Pro)

Other concern, is damper adjustment really that much of a deal? I understand it alters compression of the spring when adjusting height. So what other benefits are there other than providing a hard (grip road) or soft ("mushy" steering wheel) ride.

Also I know that with Ksport you adjust the lower mount to adjust height which means it leads to the same spring rate ( does that mean better cushioning for the springs and a better ride? )

And does anyone know if this is the same with Tein Street basis and STreet Advanced?
Is this way of adjusting height recommended?

Koni + GC is another option.

Thats what I am running. If you are looking to slam it, you will need custom top hats for the front or you will ride on the bump stops. Mine sits at 25 3/4 inches in the front and I had to trim my bump stops about 1 inch (koni bump stops, not original). The rear has plenty of shock travel and it sits the same hieght.

If it is a DD I do not recommend any spring rate above 500 unless you do not mind a pretty stiff ride. Mine is 430f/300r and it is a tad on the stiff side for me, but I am old........

Do you have to order certain koni's for eibach gc so that they don't have that disk for the springs or...? Hahaha stupid question I know but couldn't figure it out.

OMG - Fo the money... PM me for Function & Form - best coilover on the market for the price, quality, reliability, warranty, customer service, etc.... should i go on?

Why? There are more 6GA owners on this forum running F&F than anything else on the market. If you ask 95%+ of them, they'll most likely tell you; they're totally happy, best up upgrade ever, can't be beat for the price, and... would buy again.

Can't say the same for all other coilover options I'm afraid, so the choice is that easy... especially when you got a direct member connection to vendor.
