Ok I purchased a cold air from ebay a year ago and was satisfied with it. It was loud and had a deep tone but as I started the car this morning it seemed fine and was just cruising to school and I entered the highway and pushed it a bit and it was real loud. It seems more responsive now, and real louder than what it sounded before, unsure if this is normal and also you can hear the intake deep tone when im on 3500 and going up. I know my filter is a bit rusted and haven't changed it since but is this normal?lol but it does sound better lol

had same thing as well, but id change out tha mesh for a aem or better brane filter, some of those filters will still let dirt and dust in ur intake, but as far as sound and worries
dnt it did me fine for a while

^lol best one yet.

Check your fittings, check your filter. Shouldn't be any louder, but if it is and the aforementioned areas are fine...so is your car.

Dont listen to these clowns, The extra noise means your muffler bearings are on the fritz and will soon leave you stranded on the side of the road... Take them to shop and have them greased or replaced...I would do it quickly before your fuct.

and it begins:jae:

OP, just do what redryder said and if everything is ok and secure then just don't worry about it, unless you're having any actual issues with the car.
