Cruise control INOP 2000 Accord LX

Looking for some help troubleshooting my 2000 Accord LX. Cruise control will not work. Light on cruise button comes on. Even the green light on the dash illuminates when the steering wheel button is selected. Cruise still wont set.

Looks like the brake pedal is making contact with the "button"

Using my autel scanner I am able to see that the cruise parameter does come on and that my brake switch is reading correctly.

Car does have an SRS light for the seat buckle.

Anyone have any insight into this or other things to try?
