i think this is where i post this question? well anyways, whats everyone's opinion on having custom made exhaust or a bolt on? i was planing on picking up greddy evo2 dual exhaust for my 05 but its over a grand now not to mention shipping, labor to install, and discontinued. i could just buy the evo2 mufflers and get custom piping done and it would possible be cheaper. any thoughts?

Should be fine with custom piping as long as you get the proper specs. You're not going to notice much performance gains so just get piping speced to whatever preference you want.

Custom is the way to go. Get it welded nicely and i say 2.25 should be good for you since you dont have any serious power

Custom piping is cheaper if you have the option. But nothing wrong with a bolt on.

He's got 40 more than a 6GA, but yeah 2.25 should be fine. Or 2.5 even. Not sure what 7GA's have stock.

7GA benefit like crazy from exhaust mods.

Buying the mufflers will probably run you 500 for both. Then you'll have to hack up your stock exhaust flange near the cat... And then you'll probably have no factory exhaust to put back on later if you decide to. You'll probably spend at least 200-250 to get that customdual piping done too.

So meh, I find it more reasonable to get a bolt on.... It's engineered for your car, piping looks clean, and it's mandrel bent.

Custom is honestly the way. I got my total set up for $200, saved me about 300 to 400 bills.

yes i was just going to say this, from what i read it seems like most people get 3inch or a little smaller, and exhuast is one of the best mods 7thgens can do we have very restrictive exhaust system.

Custom if you can find a reputable shop that does good work. You don't want to shell out money on a hack job. The best thing about going custom is that you can have them tuck up the piping nice and tight so you can slam your ride on its nuts.

3 Inch is for forced induction. Going bigger than you suppose to runs the factor of actually losing power.
