Oh I know how it is supposed to be mounted with the little ball joint, I just couldn't see in detail how you particularly mounted it. Any chance of getting a closer pic of how you particularly mounted the lower contact point so that others can see in detail?

Ill see what i can do which it will be hard cause i would have to remove all the panels

do you have just one lifter? maybe adding a second one will make it open on its own?

great custom work tho. its always good to see stuff like this :thumbsup:

since you went through all the trouble to find the right size you think you might be able to tell us a part number in case we want to try the same and we wont have to do the trial and error? that would be awesome!

nice little DIY! ive been thinking about doing it to my trunk and hood for awhile now

Yeah, I only have one. I think another one will shoot my trunk up to HARD. it shoots up now pretty hard i have to guide it up cause im just paranoid its going to brake something.

Yes, I will post it when I go back to my car I'll write the brand name and also part number.

^ I think he's just using the OEM V6 hood damper for the trunk..
No, I'm not even sure what is this lifer for i just picked which ever one i could have compressed it in with my body weight. 95% of the lifters didn't want to go in and that's me putting all my body on it.
