I want to lower my v6 coupe and not sure what to buy. Is there different springs for v6 than 4s? I want to lower it but not have to deal with having to roll my fenders and worry about rubbing.
The springs for V6 and i4 are different, the shocks are not - for spring/shock combos. If you're set on coilovers, you need not worry about this I don't think, but you'll want to confirm that.
But please search, this has been discussed countless times. Start with the suspension review thread.
Whether you need to roll your fenders, rubbing issues, etc all depend on the wheel specs.

Shocks with adjustable height are not that much more expensive than those without, and if you are using springs that give the same drop at front and back, you need the height adjustability. If you are using springs that give a larger drop at front than rear, shocks w/o height adjustability are okay, but it's nice to have the option to tweak your drop a bit.
Handling will change for the better. Koni Yellow shocks, on their softest setting, are about 20% stiffer than stock, so they slightly firm up the ride. But if you dial up the dampening, they can firm up the ride even more. Pair a good suspension setup with a thick rear sway bar, and you have yourself a nicely handling car.
i just read up on a few threads in here. Whats the difference between shocks and struts? struts just have that round stamped plate on them the springs rest in?
